He resided in Sioux Falls for a period of six years and later on, together with his wife the relocated back to Central Nebraska so as to be closer to family and friends.
His passion for weather began while he was a young boy after St. Paul was struck by a tornado. Additionally, severe weather is his favorite aspect of meteorology. Whenever the weather is harsh he occasionally makes it out into the field to chase storms, hoping to bring that video back to viewers watching at home.
During his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is also a huge fan of the New England Patriots and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He is also one to be known for his strong faith and is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Doniphan.
