Susana Harbert is an American meteorologist who is currently working at KRBC. She serves as the weekend meteorologist at the station. Nochistlan, Zacatecas Mexico is her birth home but later on, she migrated with her family and settled in Texas at the age of two. She was brought up in a small town just outside of the DFW metroplex (Everman, Texas).
She attended Texas A&M University in College Station where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science and a major in atmospheric science (meteorology) & oceanography. In addition, while she was in the university, she participated in many extracurricular activities and even joined a group of students who storm chase during the spring season.
She also researched with Dr. Steven DiMarco for tracking ocean currents in the Gulf of Mexico. Furthermore, she interned for KRBC & Telemundo here in Abilene, Texas during her junior semester.
During her leisure time, she enjoys traveling to go see her husband, shopping, and watching the latest tv series on Netflix and her favorite movie is twister. In addition, her favorite foods are; corn, street tacos, and chicken fajita tacos, her favorite song is Darius Rucker- wagon wheel, favorite drinks horchata, and dr. Pepper and her favorite sport is football.
