Nick Guzzo is an American meteorologist and multimedia journalist who is currently working at WETM. Previously, he resided in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area, and during this time, he was horrified by bad weather. Most especially, he was afraid of thunderstorms and his fear later turned to his passion to learn about the ever-changing atmosphere which started to spark a passion in him.
When Hurricane Irene hit his hometown in 2011, and the power the hurricane caused fascinated him and he wanted to follow a career in meteorology to learn more about the weather. Later on, he attended Penn State University where he graduated with a major in meteorology and atmospheric science with a focus in weather communication and forecasting.
Furthermore, while he was in Penn State, he took part in a leadership program, was the president of the meteorology honor society prior to being the broadcast meteorologist for the Emmy-award-winning college newscast Centre County Report.
