Kayata earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Miami. When he was a junior in college, he landed his first on-air job at WTVJ in Miami. He reported for a weekly high school football show as well as a weekly magazine show for the Miami Dolphins.
Kayata serves at NBC 10 as the sports anchor and reporter. He has been a part of one of New England’s greatest sports decades during his time at WJAR. Over the last decade, Kayata has covered multiple championships runs for the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. He also covered the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, in 2010.
