He served at CBS 3 in Philadelphia for 13 years as a Traffic Anchor prior to joining Fox 29. Kelly did his reports in front of the green screen and he became the first traffic anchor in Philadelphia to do that. He used to entertain sports fans on the Jumbotron at Flyers, Eagles, and Sixers games over the years with “Tailgate Takeover,” before Eagles games.
Kelly started his on-air job working with Jerry Blavat, The Geator as a radio disc jockey. At Philly’s hottest radio stations, he worked up and down the dial and he joined KYW News Radio with Traffic on the 2s when traffic became news. Kelly attended North Catholic High School prior to joining Temple University after high school graduation.
