Haynes serves at WBIR-TV as the co-anchor of Live at Five at Four with Russell Biven, anchors Ten News at Five and the 10 pm News on Fox 43. Joining WBIR, Haynes felt tremendously fortunate to be able to return to East Tennessee.
She started her journalism career as a “Kidsnews” reporter for WTVC in Chattanooga when she was ten years old. She began her career with WBIR as an intern while attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. After college, she worked as a Broadcasting Publicist for Walt Disney World Media Relations. WKAG in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, offered her first on-air job. She joined the Fox 24 news crew at WGXA in Macon, Georgia, a year later.
She has gotten involved with many wonderful organizations in the East Tennessee community, including Alzheimer’s Tennessee, American Heart Association, Helen Ross McNabb Center, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Junior League of Knoxville, Tennessee Chancellors Associates, and Tennessee Chancellors Associates.
