Green serves at CBS as an anchor for CBSN, CBS News’ 24-hour digital streaming network, and a correspondent for CBS News contributing to all CBS News broadcasts and platforms. Previously, Green worked as a general assignment reporter for CBS Philadelphia. She reported for both CBS Philly and CW Philly broadcasts and co-anchored CBS Philly’s weekend morning newscasts. While at CBS Philadelphia and CW Philly, Green covered many local and national news, including the 2006 Amish School in Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania, Culture, Super Bowl XXXIX, the 2007 Minneapolis Bridge Failure, Sand the 2008 and 2009 World Series.
She was awarded the Doris Haire Award in 2007 for reporting on the increasing concern about the large number of C-sections being conducted in New Jersey and the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award in 2011 for covering a deadly duck ship accident in the Schuylkill River.
Until moving to Philadelphia in 2004, Green was a reporter for CITY-TV in Toronto and the host of Cable Pulse 24, a 24-hour cable news channel broadcast on the network. Earlier, she was a reporter for CKVR-TV in Barrie, Ontario, and Rogers Cable News in Mississauga, Ontario. A Toronto native, Green graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in English. She also holds a post-graduate degree in journalism from Humber College.
